McDonough,
was killed in action last week in Afghanistan. The body of Sgt.
First Class Beale will arrive today, June 11, 2009, at Falcon
Field in Peachtree City, at approximately 6 PM. His body will
then be escorted to the Cannon-Cleveland Funeral Home in his native
Henry County by the Henry County Police Department. The
procession will take the following route: Dividend Drive to Highway
74, Highway 74 to Highway 85, Highway 85 to Highway 54, Highway 54
to McDonough Road, McDonough Road to Jonesboro Road, Jonesboro Road
to McDonough Square, McDonough Square to Highway 42, Highway 42 to
Brannon Road and Cannon- Cleveland Funeral Home. As the family
has indicated that they would like some time alone at Falcon Field,
the procession is not expected to begin until approximately 6:20 PM.
Citizens are urged to line the route of the escort to show their
respect and gratitude for our fallen hero.
A group of Fayette County Republicans will be gathering in
front of the Gazebo located at the corner of Highways 85 and 54 in
downtown Fayetteville at 6:15 PM to view the procession as it
passes by and pay our respects to Sgt First Class Beale. Everyone is
invited to attend and encouraged to bring American Flags and
supportive signs.
We hope you will be able to spend a few minutes tonight and line
the procession route to show your respect for Sgt First Class Beale
as his body passes through our county. May God bless him, his family
and all those that serve our nation in uniform.
